Bones leads the way for the Kiwis in the JR Memorial!

What a sensational weekend for Brent “Bones” Collins as he was the first of the NZ drivers home in the Trans Tasman Series in the TA2 which doubled as the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy held in the picturesque setting of the Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell.

A 4th in race one on Saturday after some great practices on Friday it looked like it was all on for the farmer from South Canterbury.

Sunday morning coming home 2nd dedicating the podium to son on his 9th birthday ( the lad couldn’t be there and was probably at home on the farm working like Bones use to when dad,  Pete was racing).

Race 3 saw him start off on the front row but the tyre’s just weren’t there and after some fierce battles he came home in 3rd and secured 3rd place for the round as well as the highest placed kiwi over both rounds.

When interviewed Brent made a bold statement saying he would love another go and would most likely be back so look out!
